November friendly for Harambee Stars in the offing

Oliech

The Angolan national team Palancas Negras could be the next opponents for the Kenyan national team Harambee Stars in an international friendly match scheduled for Wednesday 14 November in Nairobi.

The game’s prospects, however, remain unofficial as the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is still waiting for the confirmation from the Southern Africans’ end, according to the federation’s secretary general Joseph Agola.

Not confirmed

-We are planning a series of friendly matches for the national team but nothing is confirmed as yet. We wrote to the Angolan federation requesting for a friendly with them but they are yet to write back to confirm.

-If they do then we will have a match with them on November 14 here in Nairobi. It is our hope that they respond in the affirmative, he told futaa.com.

2012 qualifiers

The last time Harambee Stars faced off with Angola was in the 2012 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in which the Palancas Negras lost 1 – 2 in Nairobi but won 1 – 0 in Luanda on their way to the tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
