A majority of Karuturi Sport players are yet to report back for training to prepare for the weekend match against AFC Leopards after the short break for elections on Monday 4 March.

The team had a free weekend in the second round of matches on Friday 1 March and resumed training on Tuesday 5 March but the team’s head coach Michael Nam confirmed that it was not full house yet at the Naivasha side.

Most players

He, however, revealed that most players have communicated with the team’s management and are expected back as from Wednesday depending on how the post election period pans out.

-We are back to training after the election break but a majority of players are still out there; they went to far flung areas to vote but have been in touch with the management and we expect them back tomorrow if things will be okay after the elections in their areas, he told futaa.com.

Faulty start

Karuturi Sport was felled by Kakamega Homeboyz 1 – 3 in their first match of the season.
