The draw for the Orange CAF Champions League group stage and the second 1/8th round of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup took take place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo Egypt, Tuesday 15 May 2012.
As is the usual, the draw was dominated by North African clubs, which make up six of the eight clubs in the CAF Champions League.
It is the same in the Confederations Cup, which has a huge representation from the region.
East Africa will be represented in the Confederations Cup by Sudanese sides, Al Shandy and El -Mereikh.
