No worry for Arsenal striker

Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud insists he is not worried by his form for Arsenal despite not scoring since his move from French champions Montpellier.

Giroud returned to his former club in the Champions League on Tuesday night, as the Gunners claimed a 2-1 win, but the striker was once again not on the scoresheet.

However the Frenchman is remaining calm and said once he is fully match-fit then the goals will begin to flow.

- Look I didn't get the goal which would have helped me and definitely kick-started my season, but I was decisive by providing an assist for Lukas Podolski, he told reporters after Tuesday night's win in the south of France.

- I'm still lacking a bit of rhythm, so it's hard to play 90 minutes. But I will be better, I have to keep playing big games.

Good competition

- We have a good team and the competition between the players is healthy.

- We play a lot of games so I'm not worried. I will keep training hard but I remain confident.

- It's a real pleasure as we are winning - it's really nice.

Giroud scored 33 goals in 73 league games for Montpellier in the past two campaigns, and was a vital part of the side which fought off the financial might of Paris Saint-Germain to claim the French league title last season.
