On Sunday 7 October 2012, Newcastle played host to
Manchester United in an English Premier League tie.
Not consider it to be an act of violent conduct
In that game, Newcastle manager Alan Pardew wanted Robin Van Persie of Man Utd charged for striking Yohan Cabaye with his elbow.
According to report carried on BBC, centre referee Howard Webb has reviewed the incident and does not consider it to be an act of violent conduct, so no retrospective action can be taken by the FA.
Not be charged
While Van Persie goes free, Newcastle will also be happy to note that their midfielder Cheick Tiote who appeared to stamp on Tom Cleverley's leg during the game will also not be charged.
In the game played at the Sports Direct Arena, Manchester United won 0-3.
