The Nigeria Football
Federation (NFF) needs a whooping fee of US$600,000 (Approx Kshs 48 Million) to host Kenya’s Harambee Stars in
a third round 2014 World Cup qualifier on Saturday 23 March 2013 at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Kalabar.
The figures were revealed by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) general secretary Musa Amadu who spoke to mtnfootball.com
Not relenting
-It would cost us well over a hundred million (Naira) to prosecute the
game, he said.
-This are not the
best of times cash wise for the Federation but we are not relenting in ensuring
that all goes well with the Nigeria Kenya WC qualifier.
Kenya if fourth
-We are confident
the money would come.
Heading to the game, Nigeria is top of the World Cup qualification group 'F' with four points from two games. Kenya is fourth and last with a point. In between, comes in Namibia and Malawi with three and two points respectively.
