A brace by Sunday Ngala earned Shanzu United a 2-1 victory over ten man West Ham on Sunday 7 October 2012 to reclaim the podium position of the third tier South Provincial Zone A league.

The entertaining match played at Shanzu Teachers College ground saw Ngala intercept a pass from goalkeeper Paul Ochieng to slump the ball home four minutes to the hour mark.
Ahmed Abdalla threw the spanner in the works to level the scores for West Ham ten minutes after Shanzu’s first.
Shanzu had the last laugh though when Ngala sealed victory in the four minutes to time.
Podium
In the last quarter hour of the game, West Ham played without keeper Paul Ochieg who was given marching orders in the 75 minute for using abusive language on the match referee.
After playing 18 matches, Shanzu have reclaimed the podium of the zone A league after hitting 39 points, two ahead of SS Assad.

In other Zone A matches played on Sunday, Wananyuki were held 2-2 by visiting Ocenia from Msambweni in a game played Tononoka.
Nyota settled to a 2-2 draw against Mombasa United and Rhino saw off Ziwani Youth 2-1 at Ziwani Lasco.
