New role awaits Keo at Oserian

Ogutu

John Keo is expected to seal his return to Oserian on Monday 3 September after a month in the cold and deputy coach Peter Ogutu has hinted on a new role the team’s former captain is expected to take.

Dropped in August

Keo, formerly of Tusker, was dropped at the start of August alongside two others but in an earlier revelation to futaa.com, he said he will be in Naivasha to meet the team’s management ahead of a return, a move the assistant coach looks forward to.

Ogutu admitted that with the emphasis at the moment being on getting goals, Keo will be deployed in a much advanced position, to add an offensive punch and the tactician also said that the player’s experience will boost the team’s survival quest.

Gifted

-Keo’s return will be a big boost to us because he is a senior player, very experienced and also has a good standing among the players. He is gifted in taking set pieces which is an added advantage and I can’t wait for his return.

-We will deploy him as an offensive player since the midfielders have settled well and we need goals the most at the moment. I am sure he will be of importance to the team in the position, he told futaa.com.

Oserian has scored just ten goals all season and lie bottom of the 16 team table after 23 matches.
