Nam: Ichingwa gave Gor Mahia free points

Michael Nam

Karuturi Sport coach has blamed their weekend narrow loss to Gor Mahia on a refereeing blander that allowed for an unwarranted penalty.

According to the coach, the penalty was uncalled for but the referee knowingly ruled against Karuturi denying them what could have been a point in their favor.

Ichingwa spoilt the game

-That was a fantastic game and Gor Mahia played well and my players played according to instructions but unfortunately the referee gave them the points.

-The referees should be up to the required standards and should not cheat. The official referee for this match was not in this game and that was an indicator that there were sinister motives.

-If you remember in the last match against Karuturi, he added 20 minutes to the match and now the penalty today.

The referee Ichingwa pointed to the spot in the 77th minute after Kevin Omondi was brought down at the edge of the area.

This lone goal allowed Gor Mahia to collect the entire three points after failing crack a stubborn Karuturi defence.
