Nam holds his head high even in defeat

Michael Nam

Karuturi Sport slumped to their third defeat on the trot in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) in their Sunday 26 August match against Thika United at the Thika Municipal Stadium.

Good display

Clifford Miheso scored a late goal to win it for the home side and despite the defeat, the Karuturi Sport coach Michael Nam lauded his players for a great tactical display, saying his players are starting to get their act together.

-From a tactical point of view we played very well – we marked them well and kept them off our area wonderfully but unfortunately we conceded a very late goal which gave us a slim chance of getting an equaliser.

Positive

-The most important thing I took from the game is that in the face of all those injuries and setbacks we are facing the boys gave a good output; they are starting to gel well in their new partnerships, he told futaa.com.

The Naivasha side has seven of their key players out injured and as a result had to use players in make shift positions in the Thika United game.
