Nakuru Allstars has moved
from fourth to top of the 20-team Division One Zone B log after the team saw
off Comply in a Nakuru derby played at the Nakuru Athletics Club (NAC) on Saturday
15 September 2012.
Abich delivery
Comply kicked off the game with zeal going for goal twice by the tenth minute from two available chances.
Former Tusker defender Noah Abich had an attempt on goal in the 25th minute but his shot was blocked by a Comply defender.
Five minutes to time, AllStars got a corner and off an Abich delivery, Arthur King Weyula placed the ball well past Comply’s keeper.
Consolation
Five minutes on, and from a repeat scenario, Weyula got the second off another Abich corner, a goal that sent the host 2-0 up at the break.
Comply however chased the game and got one on 71 minutes, a goal that turned out to be a consolation as the game ended at 2-1 in favor of Allstars.
Maximum points
With the latest win, the 20th from 29 games, and the 12th in 13 home games, AllStars moves to 66 point to tie with Kakamega Homeboyz and Agro Chemicals.
But with a superior goal aggregate, AllStars are now top and will remain top overnight should Finlays Horticulture fail to bag maximum points in their away game on Saturday afternoon away to Rush, a game to be played at the Kakamega high School grounds from 1500hrs.
Comply remains 16th, stuck on 25 points from 29 games.
