Nakumatt beat Posta Rangers in weekend friendly

Nakumatt FC handed Posta Rangers FC a 3-2 beating in their Saturday 19 January friendly match, played at the Railway Club in Nairobi.

Nakumatt were ranked second in the Nairobi Provincial League at the end of the last season and are waiting to play in the Division One promotion mini-league, which has fellow Nairobi teams Jericho All Stars and Eastleigh Youth FC and the winners of the Central and Eastern Provincial league.

Rangers, on the other hand, finished last in the Tusker Premier League and were demoted alongside Naivasha-based Oserian FC.

Scorers

In the Saturday friendly, Nakumatt’s goals were netted by Jackson Oketch, who netted a brace and David Kariuki.

Rangers’ goals came from Aggrey Ongoli and Simon Mbur.
