An overwhelming 280 clubs represented by either the Chairperson, Team Manager or Secretary General made an appearance at the Nyayo national Stadium to get an orientation to the Player Registration System (PRS) run by Football Kenya Federation (FKF).
Overall benefits
The meeting organized by Nairobi Branch and attended by representatives from FKF was to give clubs a clear view of the system and it’s overall benefits.
-280 clubs showed up for the orientation and most left a happy lot after seeing what the system can do, said Nairobi Secretary General Stephen Ragos Oduori to futaa.com
-We have asked all the clubs to send in their details by Monday 18 June so that we can provide them with log in details after which they can begin to register their players.
Split in four
Nairobi runs two Provincial Leagues; a 20-team one for Men and a 21-team for Women.
Beyond, there are 82 teams in the County Leagues (Men) split in four, 70 teams in the District Leagues for men and 20 Women’s teams.
Already two teams from Nairobi have registered and in the coming week a greater chunk are expected to complete the process.
