MYSA to host a global meeting

Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) will host the Seventh biennial meeting for the Kicking AIDS Out! Network from 10^th to 12^th October 2012, at Nairobi’s Utalii Hotel.

A total number of 35 participants from Eastern and Southern Africa, Europe, Caribbean, Asia and Pacific have already confirmed their participartion.

Agenda

Top of the agenda will be to deliberate and approve the strategic direction of the Network put forward by the Advisory Committee (based on hearings–consultations/input).

Other issues to be discussed during the two day event include; 

-Reviewing Networks governance and operation structure in line with agreed communication strategy.

-Reviewing and terminating membership in line with signed MOU/criteria.

-Approving and/or adopting reports.

-Voting and appointing members to the Advisory Committee or renew their terms and approving endorsed developed documents/tools and policies.

Kicking AIDS Out! Network is one of the largest international networks of organizations using sports and physical activity as a means of raising awareness around HIV and AIDS and other health related issues through leadership development and life skills education and the widest diversified reach.

The Network which started in 2001 has grown with a membership of 21 non- governmental organization from East Africa, Southern Africa, Asia, Europe, Caribbean and Pacific/Ocenia with MYSA being a key member of this innovative Network.
