Muluya pleased with performance despite result

Mathare United

Mathare United might have lost 2-1 to Simba SC in a friendly match but Team Manager Kanu Muluya was pleased with the performance of his side.

The match which was played on Sunday 28 August, at Sheikh Amri Abeid Memorial Stadium saw Daniel Akuffo and Kigi Makasi score the two goals for the hosts with Daniel Mwaura notching Mathare’s goal.

Balanced match

-It was a balanced match and the boys played their hearts-out, said Muluya to futaa.com.

-Both teams enjoyed the possession but I am just disappointed with the referee’s decision to award them undeserved injury time penalty.

Back to business

-However, we have learned a lot from it and we are looking forward to positive results in our remaining eight league matches; at least get a point from each game.

-We will arrive in Nairobi today in the evening, added the Team Manager.

The former KPL champions left the country on Saturday 25th August after their 2-2 draw against Gor Mahia.
