Modo closes in on Leopards move

Mathare United captain Anthony Modo Kimani will join AFC Leopards in the next 24 hours after landing his release from the slum boys.

Kimani has been in talks with Leopards regarding a move to the Den and with his release letter from Mathare secure, will sign on Saturday 12 January 2013 according to Leopards vice Chair Walter Onyino.

- We are very close to signing Anthony Kimani the Mathare United captain. He was released by Mathare today so he will be at City tomorrow to sign as logistics to sign today were not good, he told Futaa.com.

The Kimani news comes just hours after the club announced that it had completed a deal to sign former Tusker FC striker Obadiah Ndege.

Musalia

Kimani will be the second Mathare player to join Leopards after the arrival of goalie Martin Musalia.
