Millers too good for Zoo

Kenyan Premier League side Chemelil Sugar FC started their 2012 pre-season friendlies on a right footing humiliating hosts Kericho Zoo FC 4-0 on Saturday 14 January at Kericho Green Stadium.

Chemelil who finished eighth in the KPL 2011 season under the tutelage of Edward Manoah, fielded two teams against the FKF Division One debuntants.

First half was dominated by the hosts with custodian Fredrick Onyango denying youthful Wycliffe Ngoko and Kondiwa Charles scoring opportunities. 

Michael Owino opened the score-sheet for the millers in the 44th minute after a superb pass from substitute Athman Mzee with Zoo keeper Given Wycliffe well beaten.

On resumption from the break, the Nyanza based club substituted the entire team, with an energized squad coming in enjoying possession, Daniel Mutai doubling up the scores in the 79th minute from James Musasia’s efforts before Willis Ouma wrapped up the victory with a brace before the stopage time.

Chemelil are set for another mouth-watering build up against Kakamega Homeboyz FC on Saturday 21 January at Bukhungu Stadium and finalize with GFC 105 the following Saturday.
