Mike Baraza

AFC Leopards Striker Mike Baraza is currently undergoing physiotherapy at the Kenyatta National Hospital following a tightened hamstring, sustained during Sunday’s match against Mathare United.

Baraza had suffered a concussion on Thursday 20 October, during their FK Cup semifinal match against Gor Mahia, and had to be rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

Injured twice in as many matches

Speaking to Futaa.com, Baraza confirmed that he had not trained properly with the team after the Thursday incident and joined the line-up just to boost the striking power, understanding the urgent need of a win for his team.

-I have been admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital for a physiotherapy sessions.

-I am waiting for the doctor ‘s advise on whether I can return to the national team camp, because I am expected to report there by midday, Monday 24.

Grateful for one point

In regards to Sunday’s match, Baraza said that it was unfortunate that they did not emerge from the match with a victory as per initial plans.

-We had set out to take home three points.

-However, coming from two goals down to collect a point from the match is still an achievement
