Mathare United midfielder Simon Mburu, currently on loan from Sofapaka, is not letting discussions over his future derail his stellar rise lately in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).
The midfielder has been among the revelatory players for the 2008 KPL champions in the second leg as they have managed to wake up from the early season slumber and after a tough first leg with Sofapaka, he says he will wait till the end of the season to decide on the next move.
Speaking to futaa.com after the team’s training, Mburu had all the indications that he was happy at Mathare United and admitted that he will have to sit down with all the concerned parties to handle the issue.
-At the moment I just want to concentrate on helping my team, Mathare United. We have lately managed a string of good results that have seen us move further and further from the relegation region.
-I wouldn’t want it to be hampered by discussions over my future. So I don’t know at the moment if I will go back or stay but when the season ends, I will sit down with the concerned parties and work out the next move, he said.
