Chelsea FC coach Roberto Di Matteo has come out in support of endangered Fernando Torres after the latter produced yet another wanting result over the weekend.
Matteo’s comments appearing on mtnfootball.com advised that the Spanish striker needs support from everyone since they are all working as a team as they build into the season.
Team spirit
- I thought, as a team, we played well, our centre-forward worked very hard, he had a chance in the first half to score as well, a half-decent chance in the second half.
- We are a team and everybody has responsibility. We're looking for other players to score goals as well, said the coach.
Torres walked straight into the tunnel after being substituted for Daniel Sturridge in their weekend match against QPR.
Chelsea managed a barren draw in the match but is still top of the charts with 10 points.
