Tusker Premier League defending champions Tusker FC on Saturday afternoon narrowly saw off their opponents Muhoroni Youth by a solitary goal at the MISC Kasarani.
Speaking after the match, head coach Robert Matano praised his players for delivering the three points which kept them on track top retaining the league title this season.
-The team played according to my plan in the match and I am happy for the three points. This has ensured that we keep on the race to defend the title.
-We will however rectify the loopholes that we saw the match but my second half changes helped us bounce back into the match.
The Brewers had to wait for a late David Ochieng’s header to get assurance of the three points despite missing a host of chances in the match.
They are now two points clear atop the standings ahead of AFC Leopards as they seek to retain the title for the first time since Ulinzi Stars did it in 2005.
