Defending Tusker Premier League champions Tusker FC settled for a barren draw with Sofapaka, in their return leg match, played on Wednesday 12 September.
Though better than a loss, Tusker’s head Coach Robert Matano said he was not impressed with the tie, at all.
-I am not happy with draws. Even though this is the first time in two years that Tusker have picked a point from Sofapaka, I still want to win, said Matano in post-match interviews.
Problematic area
Matano then went ahead to point out his side’s dis-organization and striking weaknesses as the reason for their failure to impress.
-We did not play well because we were not as organized as Sofapaka. Sofapaka is a very organized team.
-We also have a problem at the front because we are not scoring. If you don’t score, the problem is with you strikers and no one else.
Standings
Tusker are still ranked third in the league, while Sofapaka are fourth. The duo comes behind AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia.
