Matano rewarded at Tusker

Tusker

Coach Robert Matano has been rewarded for steering Tusker to the top of the 2012 Tusker Premier League table with a two year contract.

Since replacing Sammy Pamzo Omollo in August, the former AFC Leopards and Sofapaka has revived the Brewers’ title defense ambitions; leading Tusker to a seven-game unbeaten streak.

Revealing the news to futaa.com, Chairman James Musyoki said that they have put their faith in Matano and they are hoping to retain the TPL title.

-We’ve offered Matano a two year deal. We want him to help us retain the title and win the CECAFA Club championships come next year, said the Chair.

Tusker have amassed 51 points out of 26 matches, and they are scheduled to clash against Muhoroni Youth in their next league match.
