Matano not getting carried away

Robert Matano

Tusker FC head Coach Robert Matano is a happy man given the 4 - 1 win his side posted away against Seychelles giants St. Michel in a first leg preliminary round CAF Champions League tie on Saturday 16 February 2013.

His excitement was there to see when the team touched down in the country in the afternoon of Sunday 17th. Though Tusker has a foot in the next round, for Matano it's not over till it’s over.

Enough time

-We have the second leg and of course we are focused to win, that is our ultimate objective, said Matano while speaking to Futaa.com

He seconded his counterpart in the CAF competition and Gor Mahia tactician Dravko Logarusic that TPL should kick-off early to give enough time for players to gain momentum.

Proceed

The Brewers man said his charges are good to go in the next weekend TPL fixture while keeping an eye on the title they retained last year.

Tusker will host St. Michel’s on Saturday 2 March in the reverse tie from where the winner will proceed to the first round to face off with the waiting Al Ahly of Egypt, the defending and seven time CAF Champions League kings.
