Matano in Egypt as Tusker prepare to play Miembeni

As Tusker FC play Miembeni in the semi-finals of the ongoing Mapinduzi Cup they will be under the guidance of assistant Coach George Maina and Team Manager Willis Waliaula. The match will be played on Thursday 10 January, at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.

This is as head Coach Robert Matano attends a three-day CAF certification course, which kicked off on Wednesday 9 January, in Cairo Egypt.

In 2010 CAF issued a directive requiring all its member associations to ensure that starting 2013 coaches practicing in their leagues have a minimum of a level ‘C’ certificate from the confederation.

Matano and Gor Mahia’s John Bobby Ogolla were picked by Football Kenya Federation to attend the Egypt training, as their teams are set to represent the country in CAF-run continental tournaments in March.
