Manoah rues inexperience

In the aftermath of Chemelil Sugar’s last gasp equaliser against Sofapaka in the two teams’ Kenyan Premier League (KPL) encounter on Saturday 25 August, the Chemelil Sugar coach Edward Manoah attributed the result to lack of top flight experience.

Big misses

The millers had to wait for 90 minutes to win a penalty against the 2009 champions for the equalizer after going behind courtesy of John Baraza’s 29th minute goal with Jared Obwoge culpable of big misses in the game.

Singling out the newly signed player, Manoah admitted that with a little more experience his team would have won the game but promised that more is set to come from the forward.

Inexperienced

-With a little more experience we would have won the match – most of my players are inexperienced and it showed so clearly in the game. Like Jared, for example, you saw he missed about three open chances.

-It is his first taste of the top flight football but I have no doubts about his potential and I believe with time he will get his act right and even feature among this country’s top strikers, he said.

The millers rose a place higher, to ninth on 27 points, after the result.
