English Premier League side Manchester United is reported to be plotting to sign Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama, currently signed to Scottish Premier League Champions Celtic FC.
According to the Mirror, Martin Ferguson, brother to United coach Sir Alex Ferguson, has been watching the Kenyan play a number of times this season.
Mission
This, coupled with fact that United are out hunting for a defensive midfielder, puts Wanyama at a better place to secure the move.
-Martin Ferguson has watched him in Celtic's Champions League games this season, to assess his merits against stronger opposition than he meets in the Scottish Premier League, says the Mirror.
-Celtic would want around £10million for their midfield enforcer, who can also play in defence, but United feel they could land him for around £7m.
Transfer
Wanyama joined Celtic in July 2011, from Belgian Pro-League side Beerschot AC.
