As Manchester City visit Arsenal in an English Premier League match to be played on Sunday 13 January, their primary objective will be to end a 37-year winless away streak against Arsenal. City have not beaten Arsenal in a league match at their home since 1975, when they won 3-2, at Highbury.

According to midfielder Gareth Barry, City have the strength they need to take down the Gunners.

Objective

-I wasn't aware it had been so long. Football is like that sometimes but 37 years is extraordinary and records like that are rare but there to be broken, Barry told the club's official website.

-We have to go to the Emirates (Stadium), play as well as we know we are capable of and see if we can put an end to our poor run of league results on their ground.

Performance

With 45 points, from 21 matches, City are ranked second in the league’s standings, while Arsenal are placed sixth.
