Malawi coach names team for Namibia duty

Interim Malawi head coach Eddington Ng'onamo has named his provisional squad that will face off with Namibia in the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Windhoek on Saturday 23 March.

The coach, who took over from Kinnah Phiri has left out two of Phiri’s regulars, Green Harawa and Dave Banda from his teamn while calling up a number of players his predecessor most notably Fischer Kondowe. His Big Bullets team mates Sankhani Mkandawire and Douglas Chirambo have also been called up.

Malawi is in the same group with Kenya’s Harambee Stars, in position three of Group F while Kenya has just a point and in bottom place.
