Mahakama FC striker Charles Pilipili will miss the rest of the season through injury.
Confirming the news to futaa.com, Mahakama Head Coach Ezekiel Akwana said the forward was involved in an accident on Thursday 1 November 2012 and will therefore miss the teams remaining matches.
-Pilipili hurt his right leg in an accident this morning and will therefore be unavailable in the upcoming matches, Akwana said.
The forward is Mahakama’s second top-scorer having scored 11 goals so far, two less than the club’s top scorer Erick Jesse Mmatsi.
Next season
Mahakama will play Gatundu Stars on Saturday 3 November in Juja, a match Pilipili says he was looking forward to.
-I had really prepared for this game and it is really unfortunate this happened. I hope to recover fully before next season, Pilipili said.
Mahakama is third in the 20-team Division One Zone A table with 64 points from 34 games.
