Magongo and Ligi Ndogo share spoils

Magongo Rangers and Ligi Ndogo played to a one-all draw in Division One Zone A match played at the Refinery Grounds in Mombasa.

Ligi Ndogo opened the scores in the 10th minute after a quick counter attack that started from their own box. They maintained the lead until the 88th minute when Magongo’s Erick Oduor equalized from the spot.

Improvement

Magongo Head Coach Abdulnassir Mohammed was satisfied with the result saying his team showed great improvement in the second half.

-Ligi were clearly better than us in the first half but we showed great character in the second half. One point is better than none so I’m satisfied with the result, Mohammed told futaa.com.

After the result, Ligi Ndogo is sixth with 55 points from 34 matches while Magongo is 15th with 33 points but has played 32 matches.
