2008 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champion Mathare United have a lot to improve on if they are to perform better in the second leg, says Ligi Ndogo Chief Executive Officer, Chris Amimo.
Friendly
Mathare trounced Ligi Ndogo 2-0 in a friendly match played on Friday 15th June 2012 at the Goan Institute Grounds but Amimo believes the former Champions still have to work hard to excel in the KPL.
-Judging by how they played against us (Ligi Ndogo) I think they still need to improve their game. We fielded a second-string yet they only managed to score two goals.
-KPL is now very competitive and Mathare needs to perk up their game, he concluded.
Second leg
Mathare are ranked 14th on the table standings with 12 points and they’re scheduled to meet Karuturi Sports FC in their second leg opener, on Saturday 23 June.
