The annual Ligi Cup that brings together players from East Africa kicks off this coming Friday at the Ligi Ndogo Grounds off Ngong Road as well as three other adjacent venues; Impala, RFUEA grounds and Kilimani Primary.
The tournament kicked off in 2004 and will bring together teams from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and for the first time from Tanzania that will compete in various age categories; U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 & U20.

“We have had an overwhelming interest with over 100 teams already registered for the event” said chief organizer Vincent Buluma from Ligi Ndogo while talking to KenyanFootie.com.
Most of the Academies including Future Stars (Tanzania), Uganda Junior League, Liberty Sports, FISA Academy, Oliech Foundation, MYSA, amongst others will be competing.
The tournament will run from Friday the 27th through to Sunday.
