KRA striker eyes KPL berth

University of Nairobi

Division One side KRA FC goal poacher Edwin Ambasu is optimistic his club will get promoted to the topflight league come next season.

The University of Nairobi student believes their pre-season preparations are good enough to spur his team to a brilliant year that will see them join the Kenyan Premier League.

KRA were top contenders last season but missed out after finishing fifth in the FKL Nationwide One league with 47 points, four behind leaders Oserian FC.

-The team is promising with new players in the fold I believe we’re up for good season. Apart from the acquisitions, our pre-season preparations have also been motivating, Ambasu told futaa.com.

Ambasu plays for the University of Nairobi on regular days, but shows up for the tax-men, a team whose home-ground is the Public Service Grounds opposite Kenyatta National Hospital.

KRA lost most of its key players to KPL clubs including prolific striker Obadiah Ndege ,who joined Tusker FC.
