KPL: Wanga is eligible for Leopards

Wanga

On-loan HAGL forward Allan Wetende Wanga is eligible to play for Tusker Premier League giants AFC Leopards until the end of the season.

According to Kenyan Premier League Limited (KPL) secretariat, the Kenyan international has a valid loan deal with AFC that runs till December 31 2012.

Agreed deal

-We have not received any official complain from clubs about Wanga’s eligibility.

-However, our transfer records indicate that both clubs agreed over his loan extension deal, meaning the player is eligible to play for AFC, said the secretariat to futaa.com.

Verification

This comes just a few hours after AFC Organizing Secretary Timothy Lilumbi urged clubs challenging Wanga’s eligibility to play for the third placed side to verify with KPL.

Wanga’s initial eight-month loan move from Vietnamese top flight side expired early this month (October 2012), but agreed to extend his loan spell until the end of the season.
