KPL side cancels Tanzania trip

Sofapaka

The 2009 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Sofapaka FC will not be travelling to Tanzania after all.

Kenya-Jamaica postponement

The team was scheduled to make the trip on Tuesday 21 August but the postponement of the Kenya national team Harambee Stars’ friendly match with Jamaica that was scheduled for Saturday 25 August meant the weekend’s league matches are back on.

Sofapaka are thus preparing to face off with Chemelil Sugar after the cancellation as per the team manager Jacques Roberto’s confirmation.

No option
-Our planned friendly match with Coastal Union and the one against Yanga which was being mulled have been cancelled. We were left with no option after the Jamaica friendly was called off which meant the league programme was back on.

-We were supposed to travel tomorrow (Tuesday) but now we will just have to prepare for Chemelil in our league meeting on Saturday, he told futaa.com.
