KPL Player of the year set to sign with Belgian side

The 2011 Kenyan Premier League player of the year Kevin Kimani is set to sign with a Belgian third tier side in the next one week.

Confirmed

Confirming the reports, his agent Jean-Marie Abeel told futaa.com that they have held discussions with the side and that the deal is set to be sealed by the end of this week.

-We have been in serious talks with the side and I am confident that we will strike a deal by the end of the week, 

-I will however not name the team till when everything is concluded, he said from Belgium

Long list 

Kimani is expected to join the side [believed to be FC Bocholt] after staying as a free agent since the beginning of the 2012 season.

The former Mathare United skipper now joins a long list of Kenyan player featuring in professional leagues in Europe and around the world.

Other than being the reigning Player of the Year, the 22 year old also is also the 2011 Midfielder of the Year accolade.
