AFC Leopards coach Jan Koops will miss the services of key defender Edwin Wafula Baraza in the weekend clash against Gor Mahia at the Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani but he is not letting it dictate the preparations for the big game.
Quality replacement
The defender was shown his fifth yellow card of the season in the Saturday 15 September loss to Western Stima and Koops says he will have to consult his technical bench members on the possible replacement but assured on a quality one.
-We will miss Edwin, that’s for sure because he is a great defender but his absence will not deter our preparation for the game against Gor Mahia. I will get a good replacement from him from the available players.
Confident
-At the moment, however, I can’t say who will fill in because I have to factor in the ideas of my fellow coaches and I am convinced that we will get a result from the game, he told futaa.com.
The team is scheduled to land in Nairobi after camping in Mumias since Sunday 16 September.
