Kolongolo ready for lower division test

Just days after the conclusion of the third edition of the Obama Youth Tournament in Nambale- Busia County, third placed Kolongolo FC have regrouped in preparation for the 2012 Nationwide Division Two League.

Kolongolo has been enlisted to take part in the league next year and they are not taking any chance for granted with their key objective being to stomp into the prestigious Kenya Premier League after a spell of two years.

The team’s main sponsor Mr Kizito Namulanda – Managing Editor with local TV – KTN confided with futaa.com that the aim was to use Obama Youth Tournament to test the team’s readiness to take part in competitive league, saying that he’s satisfied the boys are ready for a bigger challenge.

-With the conclusion of the tournament, we are now putting in place logistics for next year’s league, top on the list being looking for a trained coach to sharpen the boys’ skills, he said.

 -We believe we have identified quality players ready to play not just in Division 2 league but any competitive league in the country, concluded Namulanda.
