K'ogalo happy with recruitment programme

Ken Odhiambo, Anaba Awono
Gor Mahia Coach Anaba Awono is happy with the club's recruitment programme.

The club has brought in 11 players ahead of the new season, which will have a continental campaign, in the shape of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Mozambican outfit Deportivo Ferrovario will be their opponents over two legs, in mid-February.

Awono has had a hand in the incoming transfers at the club and believes they will have them in good stead once the season begins.

Good players

-The players we have brought in are of good quality and will add depth to the team we had last season.

-Some of the players we have brought in are experienced and have played at a high level.

-I am happy that the club has given me good players so that we can improve on our performance last season, Awono told Futaa.com.

Gor Mahia will play Sudanese club El-Mereikh in a friendly match on Sunday 29 January 2012.
