Mathare United skipper Antony Kimani has labeled their Tusker Premier League match against AFC Leopards on Saturday 3 November, in Mumias as a ‘tough game’.
Mathare are targeting to continue with their 11-game unbeaten run and keep their top 8 hopes alive, while Leopards are still chasing the title.
Objectives
Despite their recent good run of form, the Kenyan international defender believes the match will be tough for both teams.
-We know they are still in contention, but we also have our objectives; to maintain our unbeaten record.
-Just like the title race, the Top 8 race is very tight and to keep our hopes alive, we must register good results.
-It’s a tough match and whoever utilizes his chances well will definitely carry the day, said Kimani to futaa.com.
Friday departure
Mathare, who lost 0-2 in the reverse tie at Nyayo National Stadium, are scheduled to travel to Western Kenya, on Friday 2 November.
Mathare are ranked seventh on the pile with 38 points, 16 points below third placed AFC.
