Kigarine promoted to provincial league

South Imenti’s Kigarine FC got promoted to the Upper Eastern Provincial League after emerging victorious in the finals of the Meru Central sub-branch mini-league head on Sunday 17 February at the Konoru Stadium.

Kigarine handed opponents Al-Azizia a 4-1 beating in post-match penalties, following a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time.

Semis

To make the finals, Kigarine had beaten Kirogine FC 3-0, while Al-Azizia handed Kiirua 11 Stars a 2-0 beating, in the penultimate round.

Last season

At the end of the 2012 season, Kambakia Christian Centre was promoted from the Provincial League to the Division One.

The 2013 season is set to kick-off in April.
