Key Stima players doubtful for KPL opener

Kevin Oluoch

Western Stima FC has suffered another setback in just five days with the news of utility player Kevin Oluoch being out of action for around two weeks due to a recurring knee injury.

Oluoch picked-up the injury that has been dogging his career since plying his trade with 2006 Kenyan Premier League champions SoNy Sugar FC.

injury woes

The player has been ruled-out of the power-men’s 2012 KPL opening encounter against Muhoroni Youth FC on Saturday 11 February.

Harambee Stars trialist Robert Kwaye, George Wesa, Alloyce Mangi and Steve Biko are also doubtful for the opener as they’re still recuperating from injuries.

-Oluoch is definitely out of my plans ahead of Muhoroni clash and we’ll wait for probably two weeks for his return. It’s a recurring injury that he sustained while at SoNy, Coach Henry Omino told futaa.com.

Doctor’s fate

-About Kwaye, I don’t know the extent of his knee injury he suffered yesterday (Tue 7 Feb). He limped out of the training session but that’s imminent to Doctor’s report same to Steve Biko whose wrist injury can’t allow him to some tackles, explained the coach.

-Wesa is training but unfortunately the stitches on his forehead refrains him from heading the ball and that rules him out as his position demands to go for high balls as well as Mangi whose hamstring injury hasn't recuperated yet, concluded Omino.
