Wesley Kemboi is poised to make his debut for Kenya against South Africa, in tonight’s international friendly match, at Nyayo National Stadium.
Apart from the Western Stima’s prolific striker, the other players who will be making their senior national team debut are Thika United’s left winger Francis Kahata and Sofapaka’s centre-half Eugene Asike.
It’ll be also a proving moment for Coach Henri Michel as it will be the Frenchman’s first assignment since his appointment in August.
The trio were drafted in Michel’s starting line-up following their impressive performances in the training sessions.
Starting XI: Arnold Origi (GK), Geoffrey Kokoyo, Eugene Asike, Brian Mandela, Christopher Wekesa, Victor Mugubi, Peter Pinches Opiyo, Patrick Osiako, Dennis Oliech (Cpt), Wesley Kemboi, Francis Kahata
Subs: Jerim Onyango, Edwin Wafula, James Situma, Osborne Monday, Ayub Timbe, Charles Okwemba, Moses Arita
