The communication, copied to the Confederation of African Football [Caf], comes in the wake of threatening attacks from militant group Boko Haram.

more plans

The Kenyan federation on its part has also made separate arrangements with its embassy in Nigeria, in Nigeria, to ensure that the girls honour the tie and come back home safely.

-Security was our main concern and as long as it is guaranteed, we are ready to take on the Nigerians, FKF technical director Patrick Naggi told Futaa.com.

The team will be leaving Nairobi on Friday 3 February.
