Kenyan international Wesley Kemboi who plies his trade for Kakamega side Western Stima is convinced that his teams’ Sunday 4 November encounter with Tusker, the reigning Tusker Premier League (TPL) champions will not be a walk in the park.
Stima, eighth on the log, will be hoping to leap frog Mathare United to seventh place after the encounter but Kemboi admits that with the title ambitions top of Tusker’s agenda, the Kakamega side will have to dig deep to get something from the game.
Pressure on Tusker
Speaking to futaa.com, the speedy forward also noted that much pressure is on Tusker though Stima will be aiming at a win to end the three game winless streak.
-It will not be an easy game on Sunday; they are wounded after the loss to Gor Mahia while they still have title ambitions so I don’t expect them to give us an easy ride. To beat them, we will have to produce a great display.
-Despite the odds, I know they are the pressured side and we will be looking to pile it even more as we target the points to bring to an end the recent bad run, he said.
Western Stima has picked just a point in their last three league matches. In the team’s last match, they fell 2 – 3 at home to Rangers FC.
