Congo JMJ United keeper Philip Okayo has been suspended for the rest of the season for what was termed as gross misconduct.
The shot-stopper becomes the second player to be slapped with an indefinite ban by the ninth placed Division One [Eastern Zone] League side following the suspension of defender Amani Omondi, on Tuesday 9 October.
According to interim Coach Shaban Abdalla, the keeper trained with a top tier side KCB without their consent hence violating team’s rules.
-Some of our team players have been indiscipline. Recently, we expelled Amani from the club and now keeper [Okayo] has been suspended for the rest of the season, said Abdalla to futaa.com.
-He went missing for ten days and only returned for Saturday's game against Ligi Ndogo. We had no choice but to field him as the other team keeper was injured.
-We have since learnt that he has been training with KCB (a top tier side) and has returned to 'with an attitude', he added.
This automatically rules the duo [Okayo and Omondi] out of the remaining eight league matches.
