In a Tusker Premier League
game played on Monday 24 September 2012 from 1600hrs, KCB beat Rangers 3-1 to

Block buster
A goal within 35 seconds of kick off from Paul Mungai Kiongera sent KCB 1-0 up. At the half hour mark it was 2-0 after an unmarked Edwin Mwaura, incidentally a former Rangers player punished his former keeper Victor Omondi with a low shot.
However in the very next minute, on loan striker Baldwin Ngwa who turns out for Gor Mahia completed his run with a connection to a long cross to lob past a diving Sammy Okunda in the KCB goal.
At the stroke of half time, Geoffrey Maina sent a block buster to the top of the roof from close range to send KCB to the break with an impressive 3-1 lead.
Bottom
With ten minutes to go, KCB should have made it 4-1 when substitute Jacob Keli earned a penalty after being tripped by Ragners defender Emmanuel Chimaroke.
Kiongera stepped up but to take the penalty but he slammed a hard rising shot against the cross bar as the ball rolled out.
The game ended with no further goals as the score remained at 3-1.
KCB is now tenth with 30 points from 25 games as Rangers FC remains 16th and bottom ten points back.
