KCB coach James Omondi was in high spirits after the team beat table-toppers AFC Leopards 2-0 in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match played on Sunday 26 August at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Reaction
-I’m very happy with how we played today. My players responded well and I can now confidently say that the team is back on form, Omondi said after the match.
KCB had not won in their last four matches, their last victory being against Muhoroni Youth on Sunday 15 July 2012.
-I’m a very young coach and I knew I would lose my job if the team continued performing dismally, I'm glad the players gave this match the seriousness it deserved, Omondi added.
The team is now ninth in the 16-team KPL table with 27 points from 23 games.
