Western Stima rediscovered their winning ways in the Kenyan Premier League, with an impressive 3-0 victory over Karuturi Sports, on Sunday 19 August, at Bukhungu Stadium.
It wasn’t an exciting match by all means after the heavens opened up at the beginning of the first half.
Fredrick Shimonyo put the hosts ahead in the 13th minute, scoring off a rebound from Job Omusse’s effort.
Defensive lapses
In the 71st minute, Hudson Muhako got his name on the score-sheet-successfully converting a penalty-kick after Karuturi defender handled the ball in the area.
Two minutes later, second half substitute Victor Majid could have pulled a goal back for the visitors but his shot hit the wood-work.
Harambee Stars trialist Ali Bai heaped more misery on Michael Nam's side, ceasily beating keeper Michael Wanyika after capitalizing on a defensive lapse in the 79th minute to make it 3-0.
The loss saw Karuturi drop down to the tenth spot on the log, four points behind seventh placed Stima.
